USA, Shitty Bedford presents 3 EP's from years past, available for the first time on CD from Psychofon Records. These recordings were made under a variety of circumstances and for multiple purposes: tests of newly made instruments, scores for never-to-be-made movies, notes-to-self and intended-to-be-digestible songs. Shitty is best known for his musical work with Ostrich Von Nipple and mulitple Atlanta-based groups including Dead Man's Underwear, Omelet and Goons of Waxing Gibbous. Shitty has written,directed, scored and produced a great number of theatrical bits and pieces with Hot Shit! Theater Company, including the Oh! Fearsome Head trilogy and the Bu?onicus series. He has designed masks and scenery for, and performed with Saints of an Unnamed Country and Immaterial Possession. His influences include the Marx Bros, Harry Partch, Fellini, John Lurie, Ernie Kovacs, Ennio Morricone, Harry Smith, Alfred Jarry, the Residents and Renaldo & The Loaf.
