The Collector’s edition red vinyl comes in a hand-silkscreened sleeve.
In 1976 The Residents invited a man called Schwump over to San Francisco to record some music. The result was a short work called Aphids in the Hall, with The Residents performing the backing instrumentation. In the end, a very limited 200 copies were pressed but they were never officially released. Eventually copies found their way into a few hands and Aphids in the Hall became known among Ralph Records fans.
Now finally in 2018, Barry Schwam a.k.a. Schwump and Psychofon Records have dusted off the original master tapes of this all-but-lost gem of a recording. Remastered by Master & Servant in Hamburg, Aphids in the Hall‘s first official release is available in three versions:
